Steven Foti Steven Foti (December 3, 1958) is a Wisconsin politician and legislator. Born in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Foti was a real estate salesman and ex-bartender before serving in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1983 until 2003.〔http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/dictionary/index.asp?action=view&term_id=1899&serach_term=foti〕〔 Foti was named majority leader by Assembly Republicans in 1997.〔 After leaving the Wisconsin Legislature in 2005, Foti became a lobbyist. In 2006, Foti was convicted of the misuse of campaign funds.〔http://www.legis.state.wi.us/LRB/pubs/im/09im2.pdf〕〔 He served a 60 day jail sentence and paid $57,935 in restitution.
